Default Lets talk headers

Well lets start off with mods in sig and AEM lt headers with the factory collectors cut and 3" welded in place. Only thing is I made the collectors. Got to wondering if I might could pick up some low end with a good set of collectors like the edlebrock or the flowmaster 4 into 2 into 1 design (if room permits). Just seems I have a lack of low end or just use to the older design motors. So what yall think? Keep in mind that I will be swapping to a 6.0 next years so it will have to work well with it as well. Here is what I have now

If you're going to be switching to a 6.0 next year, I'd stick with the 3" collectors. If the Flowmaster or Edelbrock collectors are 3" and are a better design than what you currently have, I'd rock one of them. I doubt that either will do much for your low end with that size collector though, even with a different design. When I installed my SW LT's and catted y-pipe, I saw no loss in low end, but I have 2.5" collectors, which may have something to do with it. I plan to rock them as is when I do my 6.0 as I don't have dough to get them re-done and I need the cats for visual inspection, and the y-pipe that's on there is perfect. Hopefully the 3" cutout that I will be installing after the y-pipe will help to offset my lack of a healthy collector.

was thinking one of these. both have a better design then i should be able to come up with. dont think the 4-2-1 design would help out any? Or just to far back to help much?

Theoretically the 4-2-1 should help you out down low, but if the end result is still a 3" collector, I'm not sure. I bet it will help some, but enough to feel, I don't know, as I have no personal experience with those collectors. If you do go with the 4-2-1's, you definitely won't have any room for cats, but I have a feeling that your kitties are already gone huh?

I think that the time and money you are looking at spending here will be a waste, I doubt that would make a noticeable difference over what you have already done.
