Default Less Heat

Someone told me to plug the lines , to the trottlebottle colant lines, or something like that, he said it will stop the flow of hot colant.He told me it would make the truck run cooler. i have a 01 silverado 4.8 liter with mods.Is this tru.

Being in CA since it doesn't come near freezing yes you could bypass the coolant lines. Don't think you want to plug them, just bypass the TB from it's path.

Get a coupler and just joint the 2 lines going to the TB. This will just bypass the TB, aka TB Bypass mod.

Plugging them would be ALL BAD! LOL

Don't expect to feel a difference with this mod though.

I call it a combination mod. You really wont notice any difference with just the one mod but maybe doing ALL the little freemods will make enough of a difference to be noticed..

Only reason I do it anymore is so when I take my TB on and off (which is often) I won't leak coolant everywhere.

It's the throttle body (not bottle) you want to bypass. The coolant lines go to it to keep it from icing in cold weather. Your climate doesn't really need it...so the bypass will make the TB a littler cooler and maybe give a tad more hp.
