That CoolsideII is badass!!
That's the sort of truck they should produce!!
There always seems to be great concepts that never come true...but someone gets to keep these things!!

The engine in that CoolsideII is not a 8.1L. They very different from the old BBC. I talked to guy that has swapped a 8.1l into a 6.0hd truck. He said it dropped right in and every thing plugged up. He used the 6.0 computer and tuned with ls1edit.

GM should put the Cadillac v-16 in a truck. Then Ford and Dodge will be
all the way back to the drawing board.

The 8.1 gen 6 (496)is a 4.250 bore 4.375 stroke from what I best remember. The confusion on the gen 3 8.1 would be it being a 4.310 bore 4.250 stroke. A .060 over 427/454 with a 4.250 stroke with 496 cubes. Very common stroker BB. That is most likely the case with the truck above IMO.

Most don't know that 8.1L are very different from ether BB. I'm tired of spelling out all the differences. There's just not allot of support or info for it. I will say this, my new combo is running better than I thought. I ran a 13.80et mustang last night. If I ran my track shoes on (aka 120lbs less wheels and tiers) it would have been a dead heat. There's still allot of tunning to be done to this truck.
