anyone know if the 6.2 L92 will fit in the classic body styles? and how much fab work would be needed?

It can be done. You'll need the engine, and the conversion electronics Lingenfelter sells. It converts the 58x crank reluctor signal to a 24x signal your PCM will recognize. It does the same thing for the cam sensor. They also the knock sensor extension harness that allows you to move the knock sensors to the lower side of the block instead of the valley like the GEN III engines. You'll also need the cable operated throttlebody of your choosing. Motor mounts and exhaust will bolt upthe same.

If the new engine is DOD/AFM you'll have to go to the older style (LS7) lifters and an LS2 valley cover. The VVT can be tuned out and the phaser and associated hardware removed. That's the high points

yeah my bad guys, it would be going in a 05 cc. I really don't have much experience with swapping engine's so I'm kind of just trying to get a general idea on what I'd like to do, then once I'm out of college hopefully I'll have enough money to actually build it. Would you guys suggest taking this route, or would you guys suggest something different?

Does it have to be an L92? Easier way would be to get a 6.0 block of the era and stick some L92 heads on it....................
