Anyone with an L33 (5.3 HO) know the casting number of your cylinder heasds? Trying to do a little research here and it would really help me out.

Thanks

Default Do A search under my name?

I posted on this already and don't have time to find it for you. To answer what I think you are looking for, yes they are LS6 heads. Do a search on L33 too, you should get everything you want.

I think he is asking for a 3 digit casting number.I dont recall anyone ever posting it.maybe someone can poke under there hood to see if they can find it.Im not so certain they are Ls6 heads, they maybe more like small chamber Lq9 heads. If they came with sodiom filled valves then I would say they are like Ls6 heads.

You're right Gonzo, I'd like to see if theses are really LS6/LQ9 style (meaning the cathedral chamber design), what the chamber volume and valve size are, and and if there would be any benefit to swapping them on a LM7.

I would guess they are like a small chambered 6.0 head with the LS6 port configuration and plain valves.I have been watching for a steal on a set of LS6 heads,I like the idea of sodium filled valves,I would want to have them ported and run the stock valves along with the stock yellow springs and a cam with about .560-570 lift.C5C6 runs this on his 408 denali truck and runs in the 12s and in the 10s with a 300 shot.I wonder what he's been up to lately?

My buddy just bought a set of LS6 heads with 20k miles on them for $175 shipped. Bought them from a guy on here who got a H/C package.

Are you talking about C3C5? With his C3 Sierra? I think he got rid of that truck and has a D-max now.

WS6 doesnt have Ls6 heads,ZO6 only 02 and up,C5C6 sold his denali? He did say he has a SWB he was building,I bet his 408 is going in that.I talked to him on the phone about a year ago. He's one hellava nice guy that loves to talk performance. With his southern type accent I swear it was as though i was talking to Dale JR.It sounded just like him.
