What are the symptoms of kr?

KR...the PCM pulls timing because it's getting a signal from the knock sensor, and you don't have power under load. It can pull timing even under small load conditions, but it's most noticeable when you get on it. If the vehicle is actually pinging, you might hear it. Best way to check if you're getting KR is with a scan tool.

Doubt you would feel or detect KR without a scan tool. Unless something is really wrong. Knock Retard is PCM retarding timing when it senses Knock via the Knock sensors. Designed to sense detonation/ping and protect the engine from damage. Other things can trip it also. Noisy valvetrain, exhaust banging the frame and such.
