Default Kinda bummmed, what are my options?

Alright today my brother got his stroker motor back from the machine shop and I know in a few weeks he's gonna be back on the streets and I want to be there. I had a mustang but I sold it about 2 months ago cause I needed some money. I drive a Chevrolet Cheyenne fullsize pick up it is standard cab and real clean. But it has a 4.3L V-6 and an automatic. What can I do to be out there racing with him? I'd like to get my truck haiuling *** but don't know how! I'm thinking crate engine or ls1 even. What are my option and where or who can I go to to get help ?thanks!!!

you could S/C that motor, but you would only get about 300-350 horse power, there is also an article in sport truck, that tells you how to build a 4.3L with right at 300 HP. But other than those options, I would put a ZZ4 crate engine in it, and blow your brothers doors off

A zz4 crate motor isnt going to help you. I raced a 94 swb chevy with one, long tubes, pulleys and gears and it wasnt pretty for the little mods i had at the time. I had a upd, Predator, and a dynomax muffler at the time. I put 4 trucks on him before halfway through 2nd gear. What year truck do you have? if pre 96 I would drop a flat top 406 in it and nice set of Dart iron eagles or brodix heads on it and a regular goodies like intake and such

Think big block crate motor 502/502hp would do nicely.

I have a motor you can buy that will stomp in into the ground{ depending on just how badass his motor is} Mine will throw down about 600 hp but i dont think you want to spend the $4 a gallon fuel it will take to feed it.

I think he will need to buy a gas station just to feed the motor. Im guessing the fuel pump needed for that will suck iraq dry in matter of days.

My brothers car is nothing for me to play with in a truck. I don't think you can get a truck to even come close to him. With his old motor he ran a best of 10.8 in the 1/4. I just want something that hauls ***. Big Block sounds goood. I was told that my truck's tranny would mate right up to a 350. Is this true? I have a 98 Chevrolet cheyenne, SWB, automatic.. If I was to go big block can I keep my a/c and power steering and all? I know chevrolet designed alot of things to be interchangeable but is this possible?
