I cleaned and re-oiled the K&N filter on my FIPK kit. The truck runs fine once it's cranked, but it has a hard time starting.
I thougt that I had read something on here about the oil gunking up the MAF, but I've done a search and can't seem to find any more info. I think that Greg had a remedy, but I don't remember that either.
Sorry, I'm in a Monday morning haze...still kinda mad that the Jaguars let that game go yesterday! <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />

Try to find some contact cleanner or electrical parts cleaner with NO oil in it. I got mine at Radio Shack. I have heard of some guys using brake parts cleaner also. I would try the contact cleaner first if you can find it. Just remove the MAF and spray down real good. Let it dry completly before reinstalling. See if that helps.

DON'T USE brake parts cleaner!! That stuff isn't safe for electrical parts and will/could destroy the sensor all together. Use the contect or electrical parts cleaner with the engine shut off also.
