Default K&N CAI Broken?

I can probably figure this out for myself. But figured I would ask.

The filter. The actual red cone filter keeps falling off the piece with the MAF in it.

Are these things known to do this? I just don't understand what's wrong. I put that filter on like 3 times already, shoved it on REAL GOOD. ANd really tightened it down above and beyond what would probably be required of it. I was for sure, knowing it wouldn't come off, and it did.

Time for a new filter maybe? My cai is like 4 years old.. same filter and all..

Hey, sorry but are you sure that your not tightening that filter too much?? I know its a dumb Q, but if you try and tighten them too much they slip and the rubber isnt very hard so some of them will move and slip and buckle on themselves when you tighten down......
