Default just won a 5.3...?'s

I just won an auction on ebay for a 5.3 LM7...the thing is that I'm going to have to pull the engine myself.

I was wondering if I could get some info from guys who have done engine swaps as to what bolt sizes I'll be running into when I go to take it out. I'm bringing an assload of tools with me, so I'll probably be ok, but it would be nice to have a list (rough idea) of what i need and what problems ill run into before i get down there...its a 200 mile drive.

another thing that would be awesome is if you guys could let me in on some relay locations and any specific problems with removing the wiring harness. ill probably only need the location of the fuel pump relay. if anyone can think f anything else please chime in!!

also, the truck had a 4l60e in it but the reverse went out, so theyre giving it to me with the engine. does anyone know what specifically this could be? im not afraid to tear into something i paid nothing for.

one more, will a 700r4 bolt right up to a 5.3 block? (i know about the tv cable)

thanks!!!!

You dont have reverse because the shell is broken in the trans. Very common problem.
If you go through the trans, look into a "beast" shell.

I went to a buddies shop the other day and he had at least a dozen of those things lying around with worn teeth breaks etc... GM really messed up on that one.

yep you will need a few specialty tools for that fix. Tear it all the way down then build it back.
