When I was in the market for Long Tubes, I contacted Hooker (my preferred exhaust manufacturer ), they told me they do not have an offering for the trucks, let alone the 4x4s. I would have purchased their headers and exhaust if they offered a complete package. FYI, the 2WD pacesetter headers have been replaced by the 4WD headers, they are very identical.

They do now with a y-pipe.

Part #'s 2850 and 2851.

When I had my Paces id say over a year ago. They were the shittiest things I ever layed my hands on. I rated them with FLowtech. Now maybe they changed and decided to up the quality of their stuff. I dont see much of it move at work. Stuff I do see is just the painted headers. But from pics and input guys post about these headers on the forums. Along with f-body guys. The coating still seems to sucks major ***. If im putting headers on my truck I am in no way looking to take them off in a year to have them recoated because rust is coming through.

F'ing bastards! I much prefer Hooker coated long tubes by Jet-Hot, same as I have on my 2001 Camaro SS. They have been on since 2003 and still look good. Thanks for the info. The coating reason is why I stick to Jet-Hot, I have used them extensively and they have never disappointed me.

Contemplating switching to Hooker LTs.

CORRECTION:
2850 = Shorty 1-5/8"
2851 = Long Tube 1-3/4"
16786 = Long Tube (p/n: 2851) Off-Road Y-Pipe

I just installed the 4X4 pacesetters on my truck and had to massage the driver’s side header just a little to clear the front drive shaft. It almost cleared, but I had to hammer the 3rd primary about 1/8 an inch (about the size if a nickel dent). Now it clears just fine, but I don’t know what will happen when I put the lift kit on.

Pray for little to no Engine flex....that's about all you can do!
