My buddy told me to run copper header gaskets so ill probably pick up a set before we do the intall this week. The paper gaskets are shitty IMO! They look like cardboard! lol

yeah i put the paper ones on with mine, but kept my OEM ones b/c they were still in good shape, plan on puttin them back on soon

I've heard that OEM exhaust gaskets work great. Just pay a visit to you local stealer and get yourself a pair. Maybe you can reuse the ones on your truck... thats even better.

If the ones you have now don't work.... here is the part # for LS1 exhaust manifold gasket: 12558573 You need 2.

OEM is fine dont waste your money on copper. I am still using the stock 175K mile gaskets they ahve been off 5 times between lifter installs, lt install and removal a couple of times and two engine removals and they are still fine. Stock manifold gaskets are fine.
