Default Just bought a TBSS intake.

I've got an 03 silverado with a LM7. Before I start this swap will it bolt right in, aside from the TB? Or am I going to have to do other modifications?

yeah its just bolt on with no issues, on the tb you will need the xlink... just remove the old sensors and replace on the new intake and you done

Well I was thinking I may just use an adapter to use my stock TB. I've read that the 90mm TB makes hardly any improvement, if any. So I can still use my stock fuel rail and injectors?

No!!! you can NOT use your stock rails and injectors... you can but its to much of a hassle to modify the rails just use the tbss stock ones they should be plug and play

This thread helped me out a lot.

And don't run your stock TB that would be pointless. You can find OEM 87mm TB's on eBay for pretty cheap then save for the Dr. X-link. Oh and stock injectors will work fine.

You need the PCV line from an 08+ truck, the evap line from the same truck, the MAP sensor from the old intake doesn't fit under the lock down tab on the TBSS intake and the new style MAP sensors has a different connector. Search my threads and you can see what I did to make it work.

Not sure what La Grey is talking about.. It is not all plug and play. Like stated, the throttle body is different. The map sensors are completely different. They NNBS map has a different mounting style and plug. You will either need to buy a NNBS map plug and splice it in your harness or find a way to hold your old style map in the NNBS intake. If you use the old style map, you will need to find an oring that fits snug in the intake or something that will seal so you don't have a vacuum leak since the old map is a smaller diameter than the intake opening. The NNBS injectors have the USCAR connector vs the EV1 connectors that your harness has. You can buy adaptors pretty cheap I believe. EVAP set up is also different and will need to be swapped.

Just like any mod it takes a lil persuasion to work. I ran one on my 2000 silvy but it seemed to be a lil easier swap on the dbc trucks. On mine for the map sensor i just unwired some of the wiring harness so my pigtail was long enough to reach and the sensor swapped in fine no issues. 90mm tb would be well worth it. Hince the reason for swapping to a tbss intake anyways. Also running the tbss rails makes life way easier. Your truck shiuld be returnless. Already correct? O and just tune all the evap crap out. Looks a lot better cleaned up.

I also installed a catch can at the same time which kept my intake really clean of gunk and oil. Cleaner air is always better imo. Every ounce of power u can get free is worth it. Good luck!
