Anyone have a clue how much I am liable to spend, or shouldn't spend, for a combination of a 2001+ 6.0L, 4L80E, and corresponding computer?

i think you can do a little better than that.

i just got a 2002 50k 6.0 from a local junk yard for $1100, they have 4l80e's for $950

there might be issues with using the 6.0/4l80e harness and pcm set up in your truck, i would just use what you have in your truck now. for $150 speartech will set you up with the harness and programing to run the 4l80e and they can put the 6.0 programing in there too while they are at it if you ask them.


you dont need all the accesories since they are all the same, you do need some extras with the tranny like converter and flex plate... but my local junk yard said they would include that for the $950.

that 80 wont just bolt in btw, it isn't that hard but isn't a bolt in. the 6.0 is a bolt in.
