I'm a fabricator and I do repairs/mods on header that are Jet Coated. I can tell you one thing, that stuff is almost impossible to get off with anything other than sanding it off. Even aircraft stripper will not take it off. I'd do it for any mild steel pipes.

haha nice, my dad actualy drives a 98 with a 550 cat in it. that thing is a friggin beast. lol

thanks for all the info guys, im leaning towards using the xmas money i will hopefully get to do this to my headers.
