Put in a new pc solenoid tonight and the transmission is still slipping at WOT. There was also small metal particals in the fluid so it's definitely on it's way out. My uncle adjusted the new pc solenoid somehow when he installed it and the 1-2 is shifting awesome. I can't wait until all the gears shift like that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> So, it looks like within the next few weeks my transmission will be getting a rebuild. I'm hoping I can scrounge enough cash to get a convertor too. Anybody care to donate? <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> He told me depending on what has to be replaced he doesn't see the total exceeding $1300.

 

how many miles do you have on your tranny and have you ever had nitrous or a charger?

that sucks man. i just got my truck back last thursday with the new tranny and i love it. 1-2 shift is hard all shifts are firm unlike stock form. and i only paid $150 for a brand new tranny with a mild shift kit.
