I drove 3 cars today:
Z06: WOW. but I can't afford it
GTO: I really liked it. It's fast, but it is refined and comfortable. I like the idea that it is subtle, but wow, what a motor.
Mustang Cobra: I drove this just for comparison purposes. It was faster than hell, but something about it didn't feel right. It felt uncontrollable to me, and like the suspension really isn't that hot. Probably would have serious reliability issues after 30,000 miles.

The invoice price is about $35 for the SS. But that also includes the 3% holdback money that GM guarantees its dealers. So dealerships can sell at invoice and still make 3%. You need to negotiate the invoice price before any GM incentives. So a $35K invoice - $4000 in cash back would net a $31K sales price. I got my SS for invoice minus incentives last year.
