Default Interchangable Stock Heads

Are there any stock heads (i.e. 6.0 SS heads, 5.3 HO heads) that will be a bolt on replacement to the 5.3 heads. Any heads that will benefit me in performance in anyway?

About the best you could do is to mill a pair of LS6/LS2 #243 heads. You'll get a larger intake valve and improved as cast intake and exhaust ports. You would need to mill them about .025" to get the chamber to the same size as your stock 5.3l truck heads.
Beyond that, I have a CNC ported Edelbrock head that will fit the stock 5.3l bore size and flow over 50cfm more than the stock heads. The chambers are also 3cc smaller than the stock 5.3l heads. They're more expensive than a pair of factory reworked pair of heads ($2150.00 per pair outright).

Good luck with your mods.

Richard

That's not a bad price at all Richard. Thanx for that information. I got a wrecked truck that I plan on trying to build up.
