I bought a 98 camaro intake, I want to put it on my truck, but i dont know what else I need besides the fuel rails, throttle cable bracket, and the intake gaskets. any help or pics would be helpful. thanks.

Why do you want to put a LS1 intake on your truck? The 4.8/5.3 intake actually flows better and produces more torque than the LS1 intake. There are no performance benefits and I think you have to modify the water pump and throttle body to make it work on a truck. I think you also need 97/98 Corvette fuel rails.

You Will Lose 1/4 Mile Time With The Ls1 Intake You Will Need I Think 5.7 Water Pump, and You Might Have To Change The Alt. Bracket Also I Don't Know For Sure.you Need To Talk To Blacksheep I Think He Has A Fast Intake On His Motor.

sorry i gotta chime in every time i see this posted i see nothing but haters speak up 1)ive never seen proven numbers saying you loos enough low end to fuss about 2) truck intakes are just plain out but ugly and for the aperance reasons alone i think it would be worth the swap specially if you add some of those corvette valve covers IMO i see alota haters on this topic which ok but some people needa realize its not all about HP and track times some people wanna look good while doing it not have a bulky ugly inatake when you open your hood =\

I'm not so sure about the truck intake making more power than a LS6. The LS6 outflows it everywhere. The truck intake does outflow the LS1 intake that you have though. Didn't blacksheep pick up quite a bit when he swapped over to the LS6? Where the heck is he at these days?
The only thing the truck intake has is higher runners that might help a little bit over the lower LSx style intake but, the LS6 outflows it by a pretty good margin too so....

Yep I agree with XLR8NSS on the LS6... as for looks though, I never said it wouldn't look good nor did anyone else. No one is "haitin" on the LSx style at all, were just trying to inform this guy that the LS1 will not give him enough gain to justify the swap. Had he not said that he was looking to to do an LS1 swap not because he thought it would give a signifacant gain in power but because he wanted a diff look, I would say go for it cause it probably does look better.

what was your reason for swapping anyway??
