What kind of intake manifolds are you 5.3 guys running, or is everyone just leaving the stock manifold in.

 

Most use the stock Truck manifold.

I'll be using the LS6, when I'm ready.

truck intake flows better down low for more torque

 

for what we do with these trucks the truck manifold works better. the torque band that it keeps is better due to us driving bricks. yes the ls6 intakes flow better but it wont usually net much below 5800 rpm's imo. im spinning mine to 6600 and have thought about it a few times but i need the torque.

 

theres also a thread on here somewhere....about swapping the manifolds - I guess there are clearance issues as well trying to use a LS1/LS6 style manifold, without moving or replacing the acessory drive....if I find it- I'll link you to it.
