Intake Manifold??
#1
With the 408 build up, I need new, larger injectors. Since I need to shim, etc., to fit 60#ers in my manifold, should i just spring for an LSX?
I've heard that the LSX didn't yeild much HP and wasn't worth it and that the truck mani was actually better than the LS6 mani on a 6.0L. Can anyone provide a link to this info?

I think there was a sticky in one of the forums about this. It showed the gains of the LSX on just about any engine combo out there. Seems like on a bolt on 346 it didnt help much at all, but on larger cid's it was pretty good. I will look for it.

This was on a 90 degree day versus a 40 degree. I know the dyno has correction numbers but there were two C5's getting tuned before me that lost power from the temps outside.

Well, I read on another thread that the article I was thinking of contained an error in the graphs, and that in fact both LS1 and LSX was a boost over the truck mani.
Dammit. Now I need heads, cam, injectors, pumps, manifold, intercooler.
oh... and transmission
