Which intake do I get/do you have?

I know this has been gone over ad nauseum but I wanted to post a poll to consolidate everyones answers.
I'd like to know, if you were going to buy an intake today, which would you buy, AND which intake do you have right now, whether it be stock, UPD, K&N, Volant, etc.
TIA guys.

I have the FIPK...I've had good luck with K&N products in the past and continue to use them.
The UPD supposedly is better but I read that fitment isn't the best for some reason.
Conclusion, they all do the same damn thing...give ya a bit more power and more WOT sound.

Just something to think about, If you are thinking about ever installing a supercharger look into which can be used with the supercharger. I had a K&N FIPK on my 2001 before I bought my Radix supercharger but after I installed the Radix, my intake tubing would not line up with the K&N. The K&N airbox/filtermount changes the angle where the intake tube and MAF hook up to it. The Volant box keeps the same intake angle as stock so it can be used with the Radix. I learned this the hard way. I had a K&N that was only a few months old that I couldn't use. Fortunatly I still had my stock airbox to use and a friend wound up buying the K&N from me. I bought a Volant with the lower fresh air inlet tubing and everything lines up an works great. Also in my opinion the Volant is a higher quality piece.

Ditto. Plus you get a 3" flange on the bottom of the box so you can go and spend about $5 at lowes for some 3" tubing and a connector, clamp it down....cheap ram air.

I paid $236 for my AEM Brute Force. It comes with a polished aluminum tube, stainless steel heat sheild, and a giant conicle filter. I got it because it looks great, and "Truckin'" magazine did a write up on one where they rear wheel dyno'd it and gained 13hp at the rear wheel. I would buy it again in a second. The Volant is also a high quality piece, but it is substantially more expensive at around $375 to $400. Check out the AEM, it ain't no chump!

they'rea all about the same...i had a custom K&N setup, a UPD, and my current VOLANT and they all made a very minimal difference. just go buy a cone style K&N filter at auto zone and remove your stock air box and put the cone filter there and that's about as easy as it gets, and it'll probably perform as well as anything.
