i have the K&N GenII. i like it. no complaints. not sure what CAI i will put on my next truck. i was thinking the ram air volant. but you said you have heard negatives about it. i know it is pricey. but what else have you found? maybe i won't get it then

thanks in advance

i have a homebrew kit. to me, it works just as well as any on the market. i paid less than 70 bucks for filter, box and tubing. mine is crude and there are some nice ones out there that put mine to shame and cost about the same. save the money, build your own and buy something else with the diff.

The old volants had the negatives about them. I have had both, old and new, the new one does perform better and is even higher quality than the first setup.
I vote for volant.

i respect everyones oppinion and results with thier cai. however, can anyone post up results from a homebrew vs any aftermarket cai? this isn't to start ****, but i think for the power you get a homebrew is just as good as any off the shelf model. plus you save money. my basis of this is some of the fastest trucks on here are running homebrew. ex. bigKid and blacksheep.

aem here I could feel seat of the pants gains and this was before a tune also, you can hear it through the hood at idle sucking air. It also added a nice girgle to the exhaust sound. Plus it looks outstanding
