Installig transmission guage
I'm going to put a trans. cooler in and want to install a temp. guage also. Is there a place externally on the trans. to put it in or will it have to go in on the line close to trans. I had a SES light saying trans slipping. Just trying to make it last longer.

Re: Installig transmission guage
You could get the Denali/Escalade cluster for your tranny temp. guage. The cluster comes with a tranny temp. guage where the delete is on our trucks -plus you get a 120mph speedo. The cluster is a direct fit and just plugs in and you have your guage plus better looking cluster. And you won't have to run wires or lines or tap into any lines. The only drawback to doing this is the odometer; the new one starts back at 0 miles so if you want your odometer to be accurate you will need to get a dealership or other qualified place to put your mileage on the new cluster.

Visit this site to see the Escalade and Denali guage clusters. Both are well worth the money for a tranny temp. guage plus 120 speedo. Install time is about 10min. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/00gmc/clusters.htm
