Default Installed STS on Silverado

We installed an STS kit on a '02 Silverado Monday. We ususally do f-bodies so the truck was a change. It was much easier than the f-body. We started at 8:30 and finished the basic kit at 1:30. That was with 2 people. The truck sounds great. LOTS of turbo noise, which the customer loved. We did a pre-tuned PCM so no numbers. It should be in the 340/380 range. Cant wait to do a regular cab with maybe a few mods.

Jerry is right. Your truck would be unreal with the kit. I was surprised at how well the stock 5.3 did on this truck.

How much does this kit run? Is it not too hard on the tranny? How much boost does it run stock?

Naturally, adding more power is harder on the drivetrain. But, the turbo is not as hard as some may think. I am on my stock clutch in my Formula and its doing great.
The basic kit runs 5psi. One great thing about it is its easy to turn up if you want to. You just need to make sure you have the fuel to do it.
sent you a pm.

If you step up past 5psi, count on at least a shift kit and servos. TC is a doer in any case, because you will want one

For some reason it seems like the truck kits are louder

I know mine is pretty damn loud with the muffler off and no cats. That's with the .81 A/R

Oh, it's going to happen. I've settled myself into several little projects that are going to have my attention for a few months, like helping my bud finish up his airbag setup on his dodge.
Just give me a few months, and I'm going to bust loose and throw down the money for one of these hogs!
