Default Installed my Airaid MIT and K&N... Pics

Guys,

I installed my Airaid MIT and my K&N panel filter today. First, I like to say the quality of both products is top notch. Both fit perfectly and the install went as smooth as silk. The Airaid MIT even comes with a new GM rubber ring seal for the TB connection.

I see now why some people say the MIT gets thin in some areas (see pics), but it's really hard to tell if that will have an effect since the MIT also draws air from the top portion (that area is a sound chamber on the stock tube). Actually the stock tube doesn't look all that bad on the inside, except for the openings to the sound chambers (not sure how that effects flow). Anyway, below are some pictures of the installation.

Feels, a little bit better, but its hard to tell (I only took a quick spin around the block) we'll see some hard numbers when the tracks open.

The stock tube is weird. The whole upper section that sticks out before the Throttle Body is sealed off. On the Airaid it's open. Nice quick bolt-on.

None yet, I have been carpooling with my roommate the last couple of days... so I havent' had a chance to really drive it. I'm off from work tomorrow and I will be out and about with the truck. I'll post some feelings about it tomorrow evening.

The past few days I have been working on getting my Autotap up and running, I'm really happy it in working order now.

did some driving in my truck today and the setup feels great. It feels like I regained some torque off the line under part throttle conditions. I haven't had the chance to make any full throttle passes yet, maybe later.

I definitely hear more intake noise, nothing major, but definitely an increase.

I'll post in a few weeks after I hit the track in March.
