well on the under drive pully, never heard of heat, just buy a longer bolt to put it on, you need at least 60psi to hold up the valves, set the regulator at 80psi to be safe, best way to get the fan off is to use a large cresent wrench, sit it on the nut and strike it with a hammer, like your trying to force the wrench on the nut, this will break the lock tight, when putting it back together use lock tight (blue) and snug up fan then use hammer and wrench to sinch it down. Have you ever done the cam swap before? no need to remove a/c, heads, intake like the book says.

go to www.ls1howto.com , good luck.

Other Engine Has It Removed A Friends Buddy Removed It And I Wasent There. I Know Why Not Use 6.0l In Truck Well Only 60,000 Miles And My 67 Gto Would Look Good With It Thats Another Story.

The heat thing is for a harmonic balancer because it is pressed-on the crank nose. (200 degrees-20 minutes-use wifes ovenmitts) Pulleys just bolt-on.

never had to use the oven method, but if it works go for it. Yes leave the belt on, it will help hold the fan in place.

I just used a handheld propane or butane torch...."Bernz-o-matic" type blue bottle thing. Heat up the inner part of the balancer for a couple of minutes, the thing slides right on...but you gotta be quick about it.
