Default Injectors for whipple

I have a 2002 gmc sierra with the 4.8. I am ording the whipple supercharger and wanted to know if I can put eight new injectors in insted of the two aux. injectors I also wanted to get rid of the whipple computer and just get the computer tuned for I injectors and such. A local drag racer was going to tune the computer for me.

Im doing the same thing (going centrifugal though). You will need at least 32lb/hr injectors and whoever is doing the tune should be very talented. Westers and Nelson seem to be the best. I went with Westers.

i'd read and ask around here before buying the whipple. i bought the whipple so i wouldn't have to mess with any tuning, well it's seven months later i have bought new inj's, ls1edit, efi live and have spent countless hours trying to get mine to work right. if your planning on adding inj's and scrapping the computer i'm sure you could find a less expensive unit. i'm currently trying to eliminate the computer but with the electronic bypass i'm not sure if i can. also once whipple has your money they really don't have much too say, they have been no help in resolving my issues. since their old head tech left last year i can't get anyone to even offer suggestions [ i'm not sure anyone there even knows the answers] so far it has been a miserable experience, so do yourself a favor and research your options first, there seem to be alot of knowledgable guys here. wish i would have found this site before i started this project.

nitrous is not an intercooler, it is nitrous oxide [oxygen] it increases the ability of gas to burn quicker and more competly, anytime your get the fuel to burn faster you create more heat. an intercooler actually cools the intake charge. same advice as before look around before you get a whipple if your already thinking about modifying their kit, you'll just be wasting your money.
