Cool Injector question

Injectors that are rated to flow 42lb/hr at 3bar (43.5psi) will flow ???? at 4bar(58psi)?

I have a line on a set of 42lb'rs, but they're rated at 3bar. I'm just wondering what they'll flow at our rail pressures.

I'm sure there's some handy formula, but my brain is tired.

Using some Algebra, I get 56 lb/hr.

Cool

The Delphi Multec II Shorties are rated at Static flow @ 37.95lb/hr @ 43.5PSI / 300KPa (4.31 g/s = 398cc/min) and Static flow @ 43.82lb/hr @ 58PSI / 400KPa (4.97 g/s = 460cc/min) *

I am not sure if you can use that to verify the flow rate of the ones you are considering or not. It looks like flow might increase about 5.9 lb/hr from 3 bar to 4 bar.

Here is the link to the information about the other injectors Link

Alright, I get ~49lbs/hr. At least that's what racetronix says thier 42lb'rs flow at 4 bar. Thanks everyone, I'm going to go mop up my brains now.

Sweet. I just bought some Ford 42# injectors. Now I know what they will flow at 58psi instead of 43.5 psi. Funny thing is at WOT my pump pushes up to 64PSI. Damn Flex Fuel system, my numbers never match the rest of you guys. But hey, more pressure=more flow right?

Yeah the Ford injectors are the ones I'm going with. I'm just going to by some ls1 pigtails and space the rail up. FWIW my fuel pressure is at 70psi at WOT. Stock fuel system too.

You'll notice that your fp will drop though with the bigger injectors, but they might flow just as much if not more. That's what a bigger pump is for, but I don't know if you'll need one being flexible and all.

I understand spacing the fuel rails up some but what are you going to do with the pigtails. Are teh plugs on the fords different then the ones we have currently with the stock injectors? So wouldnt you need to buy ford injector plugs then splice them into the injector wires? Im going to need to upgrade my fuel system for my new motor and as you can tell I know nothing abotu injectors.

I bought a fuel pump voltage booster (magnacharger brand) to go with the injectors. It kicks on with a hobbs switch. I plan on setting it to kick in around 6 pounds of boost. I thought the "normal" fuel systems were at 58 at wot. I guess it's 58 at idle? I'm about 48 at idle and 64 wot. I did get 38# injectors stock however. Hope it all works when I get it together.
