Does anyone know what size the injectors are on an 05 5.3? And what all years will they fit. Same question about fitment on the fuel rail. Some people are telling me 99-07 and some are saying just 03 and up. Needing a little help. Probably going to need a rail and injectors for mine.

 

If you are 05 you have a returnless fuel system. Your injectors should be 2xlbers not 100% on exactly what, unless your flex fuel then I think they are 3x's..

 

Ok. And it is just regular fuel. So are the 02's returnless also? And will they work?

 

No they started returnless in 04, but the injectors will. What is your plans??

 

If you are wanting some stock stuff I will have stock rails and injectors from my HD and I also have some TBSS injectors and harnesses to make them work if you want them

 

Well, my truck came with a V6. The guy that I bought it from had an 02 5.3 put in. It all of the harness and everything electrical is from an 05 5.3, It all new, fly by wire etc. Everything was fine until I installed the headers. Then it went to sh*t. I personally know the guy that installed everything and he told me that I need to get a fuel rail off of an 05 5.3 because it is returnless. He said that everything has been fine because the truck hasn't had the need for more fuel. He said now that the LT's are on, the truck is looking for more fuel or something. I can't remember exactly what all he said. I just remember what he said about needing a fuel rail. Are all of the connectors the same? Damn, I need a lot of help.......

 

Ok so your running a complete 02 motor, injectors, rails in the truck?? If it is hooked up returnless then he had to block off the return line on the rail.. Snap a pic of the driver side rail so we can see...

Do these look right? I circled the plugged holes. Also, on the bottom of the throttle body both of those hoses are unplugged, is that normal?

You need to get a 04 up fuel rail. Right now you have two fuel regs. The one on the rail and the one in the tank.. You need the rail that is for a returnless system.. The injectors you have will work with a returnless rail.. If your talking about the T looking fittings on the bottom, yes that is just a coolant bypass he did.. I think you will be ok if you just change one rail out
