Default Initial Mods for Towing?

I brought my new 6.0 2500 HD home on Friday. We will be using it primarily to tow a 7000 lb. camper. What does anyone suggest for better throttle response and power gains without doing anything that might void the warranty? I'm considering a Volant air intake, and a cat-back exhaust. The Corsa & FTRA combo on the Z/28 made a world of difference. Anything else anyone has found to be worthwhile?

Thanks,

Mark

Intake and exhaust is a start. Might consider long tube headers for better low end torque and a custom tune for your PCM. Could also do elecetric fans and a underdrive pulley for better throttle response.

The dealer isn't supposed to deny warranty coverage unless something you do actually causes the problem. The dealer likes the supercharger and long tubes on my 8.1 Suburban. I think I convinced him to set a few of his trucks up like this

The mods listed above will work very well. Anything you can do to help the truck breath better will give you more power. Long tube headers will be good for about 20-25hp while shorty headers will usually show you a 10-12hp increase. The long tubes are also good for more torque as mentioned. The basic bolt ons and customer programming will make a very noticeable difference for towing and daily driving.
