Magnacharger, JBA headers(soon to be AS&M's), electric fans, and true dual exhaust. This week I am getting my Yank 3000 converter installed and the tranny built to withstand 575hp. Heads/cam are next.

how much boost are you running? what size pullys? you have a 5.3 right? what rpm do you shift at?
i bet with heads and cam you will be spining the magna right up to it's max rpm. this will be interesting, keep us posted.

I have all stock pullies and I don't have a boost guage at this time so I don't know how many lbs of boost I am running(probably 4 or 5psi). I would like to get the after market pulley for the magnacharger which is supposedly worth another 40 or so hp and 3psi. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> The company that offers that pulley also offers a 9psi pulley(unknown hp/tq gain) but before I got that I would definitley need to have my replacement engine standing by in case I was to hurt something. Unfortunetly that pulley will void any warranty with the supercharger but it's not like it matters because I was not aware of the $200.00 "warranty" that came with it so if it goes, it's gone. I do have the 5.3 and it really woke up with the Magnacharger. As far as shift points go I have always let the computer shift because I hate having to worry about watching the tach while racing. The computer shifts at 5500rpm(or at least in from 2nd to 3rd it did before my 2nd gear disappeared) however on the way back from the track I held 2nd past 5500 and went all the way to 6000 and DAMN did it feel so much better. I seriously think I could have shaved at least 1/10th if not more from just holding 2nd til 6000 alone. I would set my shift points at 6000 if I could adjust them but the programmer that comes with the magnacharger has no adjustments whatsoever, just 'on' or 'off'. <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> I wonder what I'll run once the heads/cam go on(months away from now). <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

I've seen 51/2 psi on my boost gauge. Where can you get a after market pully for these?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I would'nt mind trying that out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I don't have the phone number on me but I will get it and put it here. I think the pulleys are about $150.00-$175.00, not bad for at least 40hp. I bet that magnacharger would scream much louder with one of those pulleys. If I was to get the LS1 edit could I re-tune my truck for that extra boost?
