I'm Looking for some suggestions!

I know this isn't directly related to GM but someone may have delt with something like it in the past and can give me some tips. First off I am pissed!! I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan with 54,000 miles on it and I have a drivers side fenderwell that is crumbling in my hands and between that rear wheel well and the rear edge of the sliding door I have a rust spot the is rust in color and bubled paint around it and soft to the touch with the finger! I take very good care of my vehicles and this just will not do! I got an estimate from a repair shop and they said that for the year, milage, and condition of the van the dealer should cover this under warranty! I took the estimate ($400.00) and van to the dealer that I bought it from. The service manager looked it over and said that he would have to get the ok from his regional boss because the warranty is 100,000 miles or 5 years for rust through from the inside out not outside in. After a month of me calling and him saying he is working on it he finally tells me they won't cover it because it was more than likely created from a stone chip and rusted from the outside in.
This does not please me so I call Dodge's 1-800 customer satisfaction number and talk to them they come back and said that the 5 years was up 3/2/2005 and I first went to the dealer on 4/4/05 and also that the dealer looked at it so their descion is what they go by since the person on the phone can't see the van.
What I want is for Dodge to pay for this because I think this is BS!! I have owned a 1992 k1500 extended cab. I sold it in 2002 ten years later with 105,000 miles on it and there was no rust at all on the body with original paint. I also owned a 1995 Grand Am and sold it in 2004 nine years old with 104,000 miles on it and it had NO body rust OEM paint. Regardless of the outcome of this issue I will NEVER buy another Diamler Chrysler vehicle the rest of my life!!! Here is another testament to GM and why I am pissed. I bought an 2002 1500HD when I sold the 92 and just a few months ago my warranty was running out so I went to the dealer and showed them my rims that were starting to corrode just a little around the valve stem hole and he said I will order you 4 new rims no hassles at all and then they were on back order so he left the work order open and 2 months after my warranty ended he called and said my rims were in to bring it in and I told him of 3 other things that were now wrong with the truck and he fixed those under warranty and gave me a free state inspection since mine was running out in 20 days without me even asking! NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! I'll stick with the bow tie!! Dodge won't even spend $400 on customer service.
I have owned all of these vehicles in NY and PA, lots of road salt!
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
Any ideas

Sorry about your problems with Dodge, I dont understand why they dont just help you out. $400 worth of free labor to them seems very petty if they dont do it, IMO. The corporation is so big, whats the big deal if they just fix that one little thing for you? Its obviously not self inflicted by the owner, how do you self inflict rust, unless it was an obvious deep, deep, scratch. But, I hope you get something resolved and good luck. GM customer service around my area in Georgia is pretty awesome as well.
