Default Ignition Upgrades, cam, and rockers

I have a 4.8 that is a lil hesitant when i gas it. Should i do an ignition upgrade? If yes who makes a good one, and what should i get? AND im going to be getting a cam soon. Who else makes a good drivable cam with a decent lope NOT STOCK besides the ones in the cam thread. I just want some lope and mid to hi end power, but i drive it every day. I also need to be able to drive it 2 hrs to get it programmed at futral motorsports. So it cant be to where i cant drive it until its programmed. I need some advice.
Thanks,
Derek

There really is no ignition upgrade short of changing plugs and wires. MSD soes make a new coil but youll spend out the *** for some pretty red useless coils. Thunder Racings 220/220 is a pretty nice cam and has a nice lope. My 212/218 had a fair amount of lope for a 114LSA cam. Either of the cams I mentioned will run with no tuning. The 220 wont run spectatular without the tune but you can get to Futral. You will need valve springs to go with that cam too. The Comp 918's will work fine.

I would get some hardened rods too. Stock lifters are fine.
