Get some figures on it cruising down the road. How are you getting the timing numbers anyways?

Timing wiht no load doesn't really tell you anything.

The stock SuperChips tune puts about 17* at WOT up top. It can take considerably more than that though. I'm running a couple more pounds of boost and a bit ore timing than that. A little timing on a blown motor goes a LONG ways.

i guess i will have to get a hold of westers and see what they have to say but thanks for the help flyer. do you have your tb coolant passage hooked up cause i left mine bypassed and when you take the 2 wires off of the maf harness to wire the new iat sensor do you still hook the rest of the wires up to the maf sensor or do you leave them unplugged? cause when i left them unplugged the set a low voltage code on the maf circuit but it doesnt change how it runs. thanks

I'm with Flyer on this. Mine with unmolested timing from the Magnacharger/SuperChips tune, scans at 17* on WOT pulls. Some being pulled at shifts. Plan on pumping this up once I get my fueling straightened out. New to tuning and HP Tuners.

Flyer how much you got going?

Before I put the 5.3 heads on I had as much as 23* timing up top. That was on a 60-70* day. That may change if the weather gets hot or after repeated pulls.

hd, plug the MAF back up. It still needs the readings.
