Wouldn't the 6.0L alone be well over the 2K limit?

You can get a 6.0 for 1200-1600. I would definately start with that and some tuning software. Keep your future plans in mind so you dont do redundant mods.

thats correct, there is no point in swapping your intake manifold if you're going to remove it two months later to do the cam. same with the heads.

but like i've said before, heads/cam are where real power comes from if you are taking the naturally aspirated, reliability approach.

I was just referring to spending around $2k in the next few months. One night a while back i sat down and figured out that i will spend at least $15k in performance alone on my truck, just not all at once. the 2k is just what to spend on this current motor in the next 2-3 months. Sorry for the confusion.

Default Since you asked...

Well, based on your statement that you want a quality set of headers, I'd suggest you take a look at Dynatech Racing headers for some seriously nice headers!

I just have one question about headers, where is that egr tube or whatever the heck that braided line to intake thing supposed to hook up on headers, or is it not supposed to. Thanks

Cam, headers, tune. No you can't do that for 2k.

I sould a done that 3k ago.

With only 2k I would go this route.

Z06 cam+springs - $320
PCMForless tune - $250
Vette servo - $20
Trans Go - $90
drop in filter - $40
LT1 fans - $120
TB stall conv - $350
P&P TB - $free
AS&M headers - $800

Total cost $1990, and have $10 left over for some beer
