I have a 2000 rcsb 5.3l and i was wondering how everyone would spend their first $2k on the performance side of their truck. Obviously, it depends a little on where you want to end up so i'll say that it'll be n/a and maybe spray later. Eventually i'll have a stroker but i need to have some fun in the meantime so let me know what you guys would do.

Where can i get hp tuners or ls1 edit? Probably a dumb question but i havent seen anyone say where they got theirs. Which do you think is better? i dont consider the laptop part of that $2k. Laptop is a given, i want full tuneability. Also, can anyone give me advice on electric exhaust cutouts. Thanks

I would get a tune, stall, and cam. Not necessarily in that order.

If the truck is stock and performance is your only consideration...

2600-3200 stall converter: $300-$500
Cam and springs: $300-$600
Custom Tune: $300-$500

That's $900-$1600 if you do the labor yourself, around $2K if you don't.
