if i get a PCM for like nelsons can i just tell them i want one for a 02??

I'm sure that if you gave him a call and told him that you have a 99 and you wanted to upgrade to an 02 PCM, you could work something out with him. Either he'll charge you the core charge, or you can try to track down a used 02 PCM somewhere and have him do the necessary tweaks to make it work. Some guys around here have found used PCM's for like 60 bucks.

were can i find these PCM's?? junk yards around here dont have newer vehicles in them ??

I honestly don't know where to find one myself, I got mine from the tuner when I got my tune...I think that some folks found them at carparts.com.

I just remembered something else (another thread jarred my memory)...The 99's have smaller injectors than 00 and up, so you're gonna want to swap them out too. (the 99's are 21.7 lb/hr, 00 and up are 24 lb/hr). You can get injectors pretty cheap though. I got a set from an 02 6.0 for $100 shipped. The injectors for the 4.8's, 5.3's, and 6.0's are all the same. SLP even sells 24 pounders for $100, but I'm not sure if they work on our trucks.

ive also heard about 160 and180 stats. which should i use?? it gets cold here in the winters and i don twant to lose heat in my truck in the winter. is a 180 better for me or 160???
