Truck: 1

so this morning i got up first thing and went out to try my luck with a real hammer to fast tap it. it didnt work. then i decided to use the "BFH" a 2lb hammer. still did work. i was getting ready to blow torch it as another member suggested when i remembered about the vise grip on the pulley. feeling it was worth the risk of damage i tried it. "clamp...tap tap....loose" it was that easy. i just clamped the belt to the top of the pulley and two easy taps, just testing to see if it would move anyways, it was loose. if anyone is not up to date with reasoning behind the score truck initially pulled ahead and got one for defeating me yesterday. today i got one for finally getting everything straightened out. and that last half point is to me for showing the truck whose boss.

notice there is still the "bolt" that the fan screwed on to, am i supposed to remove that? if so, how?

it might be ugly but it worked
as for clamps...i just used some zip ties through the core. that should be worth another point but i wont go there. thanks for everyones help

i am glad to see you didn't result to my blow torch idea. phphew. vice grips, small hammer, medium hammer, BFH, BFscrewdriver, wd40, duct tape, zip ties, that should about cover the tool box.

of all the tools in my dads garage, those are the ones strewn about everywhere and they are the ones we always lose cuz we use them too much. what about the 'bolt' thing i talked about in the second photo?

sorry I didn't get back with you about the prybar. all you would have done is put the pulley in a bind by using the pry bar and leveraging off another pulley... but it sounds like you got it taken care of
