No one said you couldn't be different. Don't complain when someone that spent less money drags your truck.

ok ok i know its a small motor but how much nos do u think the stock form of the motor will hold....also i walk all over 5.3 and 5.7 all the time and the only thing the my truck has done is long tube headers.. i have never lost a race to another 4.8

I like the 5.7 idea too, and I also am pretty partial to my 4.8 as well and I have yet to have a race where I dont keep it ridiculously close for how "small" my motor is, which doesnt make sense if the 5.3 only has a different crank? But anyway, I'd do the 5.7 or get some pistons made somewhere to take the abuse

I think 150hp shot would be a good start.

Biggin this is justin, the guy in the white dodge.

Your cheapest route will be to find a 4.8/5.3l motor put forged rods, pistons, rod bolts. Make it a 5.7l so you can get off the shelf parts. If at all possible a set of 243 heads but if not mill yours. You will then be able to push your off spray numbers well past 350 with a good setup. Nitrous is a great power adder cause you can build an all motor setup then just spray it. Your only thing is you can change cam for better nitrous power, which is what you are after.

Take my setup for an example. My cam, is a very weak motor cam. But it made AWESOME nitrous times.

a 300 shot, like I already mentioned, is way to much!
