Default I know another cam thread

Okay guys I swapped the 4.8 in my truck to an lq4 I have long tubes and a tune. What cam would make a good daily driver for a 2003 ecsb 4x4 with stock stall. I called texas speed and a guy there said a 220 on 114 but I want the lope too, he said a 112 would probably push through the brakes. I was thinking about a 220/224 on 112 but I'm worried about the converter. I may get a trailblazer stall but I'm not sure so what do you all think for stock stall. I did see a few guys running the 220 on a 112 with stock stall and one with a 228 on 111 in a 5.3 but wanted you guys opinion. And yes I have used the search a lot. Thanks

The 220/220 is probably as big as you can go with the stock truck converter. I had a 224/224 with a stock converter in my GTO for about a year and it was fine. I know it's not a truck.

i have a the same truck as u but 2004 with a 5.3 heres my truck with a tr 220 on a 114 lsa. it actually lopes/sounds better in person. but if it was me i would get a stall with whatever one you decide. i did drive mine around a bit without one and it made a difference but holly hell when i put a 3200 stall it really woke up. if you tow alot get a 3000 stall and a tranny cooler. i pull with mine and it does just fine.

Truck sounds good darnie. I think I can get a trailblazer converter pretty cheap but I just hate to have to put it in.

A Vinci trucker 216/224 would be a good cam for what you.

I thought about the trucker cam too because the green truck on here runs so good. I called comp and they recommended the xr275hr 222/224 .566/.568 on 112 said it would work with stock stall.

I know people who run 224rs on a 112LSA on a stock 6l80e/4l60e converters and have 0 issues. Its all on the tune on basic words.
