so your tellin me to go ahead and put a automatic trans and remove the manual trans and then will it help me out more if i add more power

well its still stock and we havent done anything to the engine and we want to i just wanted to know that the trans would handle the power and if he does decide to do anything to it it would work

it shouldn't be hard to install a auto trans in the truck but flash the computer to read the trans right?

it should work fine until around 450rwhp and a better clutch would get you a little farther

a t56 swap would be very nice

what kind of trans do i have in the truck i thought it was a t56?

no the t56 6-speed is from the corvette/fbody you have a nv3500 5-speed

there is no purpose in building a 4.8 and run it n/a.....there is just not enought cubes there to make any power.

Keep in mind it would take $2500+ in a 4l60e to handle 450rwhp. I did it with a stock 5 speed and stock clutch. I know 05's have a TR3450 trans and pretty sure 2002 and up do but not positive. It is a Tremec tranny and the NV3500 is a New Venture brand trans. The gear ratios are different as well as external appearance.
