You already have the block. 4.8 and 5.3 share the block. Only crank and rods are different. Should be able to get those cheap enough.

well i dont know bill's bank roll but i still wanna drive my truck and build a motor i can do all the work to a 5.3 to a 5.7 and come out to buying a bone stock 6.0 i dont have a lot of money but im not broke

Price everything first. If punching a 5.3 to a 5.7 comes to the same price as buying a 6.0 you should just buy a 6.0.

I would just pick up a 6.0 if you can get one for around 1k you will be good throw a cam in it and ride... Building a motor is expensive
