I wont dismiss your track times, but I can dismiss your dyno numbers. It may be time to let the cat out of the bag for some of these thunder dyno numbers.

i am not sure about throwing this in myself, how long is " a little time"? i will only be home for 14 days, and everyone is gonna be bugging the hell outta me. is this something that can be accomplished in a day? then, i have to drive 120 miles to get nelson to tune it. everyone says the road tune is the best way to do it, so i will drive down there for it. will it run with out a tune? i looked everywhere... somewheres someone was saying they had an installation guide directions for morons like me... little help here... point me in the right direction...

yes it will run on the stock tune. you might have to two foot it though to keep it from dying at low rpms. i ran mine on it for about a month before putting in my stall and nelson tune. there's ls1howto.com, they have a write up on the installation. very straight forward and that's what i used. you should be able to do the job in a day also.

ok checked out the how to... and, the only part i dont get is the rockers. i mean put the on, torque them, and turn it over a few times, re-check them and thats it???i mean, i read an article in CHP about 3/4 turns and bleeding down, and doing it like three four times... what the hell is that about? i have no confidence... it cant be that easy. i did valve seals on an old small block and we had to do valves per cylinder, keep rolling it over to different cylinders. i am a little corn-fuzed. could you explain it a little more than they did?

The CHP article is putting roller rockers on the factory **** is sooooo easy. SLap the rockers on there torque them to 22ft-lbs I would start them engien real quick to get a few revolutions then retorque them and ur done. When you pull the springs to put the new ones on jsut get an air chuck that plugs in where the spark plug goes and it will hold the vlaves up. Its not that hard I promise. The pen magnet method is the best IMO to keep the lifters up.

so in order for a dyno to be correct, what do you have to do? to many things in this thread get me mixed up.
