I've got a Hypertech on mine. I like it because you can mess with the shift points, but after saying that your wife noticed a difference.......I'm gonna look into getting a Nelson tune.

A HPP3 is good for helping w/ gear changes/tire height and lil changes. A custom tune is better no doubt, but if you can get a HPP3 for $150-200 used you can always resell it later...

I agree, get a used one then sell it when you are to get a custom tune.

I've had a Hyperping in the past, not worth it IMO. If all you want to do is firm up the shifts, adjust gear ratio and tire size and you can find a used one for a cheap price then get one. Just don't use the engine tuning - your motor will sound like a spray paint can.

If the Hypertech tune isn't very agressive, as etc and others have noted, what is it about their programming that causes so many users to experience detonation?
