I'm probably gonna just wait till the 14th......Last night I noticed some more missfire at idle...... Nothing bad though really.....

But either way, this is possibly the worst set of NGKs I've ever had....lol

Street car shootout on sunday eh? Damn, I didn't know about that. That pisses me off. If they open it to "sunday instant green" it would be so freakin crowded prolly wouldn't get to make but a few passes. Guess I have to wait until next weekend. Maybe I can come up with a programmer by then.

Well, not completely satisfied with the truck but got a good baseline for the summer mods. To recap back in January the truck ran a best of 15.55@87.2 mph with a 2.34 60' with times varying into the 15.70s@86. This was with only a muffler. Temps in the 50s and humdity was low.

Tonight the truck ran a best of 15.56@89.43 mph with a 2.35 60'. I backed it up with a 15.57@89.3 and a 2.35 60'. The passes jumped all over the place starting at a 16.0@86 and many 15.70-.80s@87.5mph. This was with temps in the 90s and humidity was atleast 70% the whole time. The mods were an FIPK, !MAF screen and egr tube. Also manually shifted it as opposed to leaving it in drive. Was going through about 5500 in second. So basically the FIPK gave me at best 2mph up top and an average of 1-1.5mph. BUT this was all after the 1/8. My 1/8 mph was a dead match to that of January. 69-70mph. I did notice that it is very picky on the 1-2 shift, I tried it at all RPMs, with the TOW mode on and off and leaving it in drive. What seemed to work best was moving the lever at 5500rpms and then the tranny would shift at 5800 or so. Weird that it doesn't shift when the lever is moved but.... Next mod will be a HPP3, hopefully that will help. Looks like 14's are going to be harder to accomplish then I thought, especially in the summer heat.

Oh yeah, I weighed the truck and it was 4382lbs with a little over 1/4 tank of fuel. What really got me was how inconsistant the mph was considering that the 60's were mostly 2.35s and there is only 1 shift made. Not a whole lot that can affect mph with that few of variables. I would even make the shift at exactly the same rpms on the same launch and the mph would be = or + 1mph. And it didn't slow down as the night prgressed, one pass =89mph, very next pass, 87.8mph, shifting at the same rpm. Damn I need some hardware!
