Greetings all.

A friend of mine has a HPPIII for his old '99 Silverado 5.3l, a truck that he just sold. The programmer itself still has his old trucks's settings. My questions are these:

With the old data from his truck still in his programmer, is there any way to reset it, for use on my truck? In the manual, it says that you can only store one vehicle's data at a time...but there has to be some way to reset it for use on another vehicle.

Am I able to use it on my truck, even though my truck is 2 years newer, and the box says it's for a '99 4.8/5.3/6.0?

The only way to use it on your truck would be to send it to hypertech to have it reprogrammed for a different year model. It will cost $200 just to do this. SO if he wants to sell it to you, dont pay more than 50 bucks
