Default HPP III Shift Firmness?

Is it a good idea to enable the shift firmness selection on a forced induction engine? Any benefits/negative effects?

With the HPP3 shift firmness on its firmest setting is it a noticeable difference in shifting? I want the biatch to shift pretty hard. I have always had beefed up autos. Hell, my old 2.8l S10 would even bark second gear! My 5.3 shifts down into low real strong but the upshift to second is relatively weak. I don't have a programmer yet but will be getting one soon.

I have not noticed much of a difference with mine, but its hard to tell sometimes with seat of your pants driving, especially with shifts ,something you can't even feel could shave off your 1/4 time. Don't expect to bark the tires with it though

Use the shift firmness it will help. Other wise you will smoke that tranny with the slow soggy shift, especially the shift from 2nd to 3rd.
