Default Hows this cam going to work in my 5.3

TPIS Z-11 215/220 .559/.557 112LSA

Picked this up here in the classifieds, already sent the funds for it but just want everyones opinion on it now that its mine.

Going to use this in a 5.3 with a 3k stall and headers. How do you guys think it will perform? It should lope pretty well correct?

interesting. it really depends on what your goals are, but IMO it should be a nice cam for compromise between all out performance and drive ability.

Well its at 215/220 compared to a 220/220 that I really wanted, is it really that much different?

well it's a low duration cam, so . . .it's somewhat an "off idle" power cam. Meaning you can run it with out a stall

more overlap is supposed to make a lumpier idle. Im pretty sure overlap makes more power right cuz it scavenges the cylinder? hey man, if u have second thoughts I'll trade u my Lunati 221/221 .558/.558 114LSA straight up

well the "lope / lumpier" idle comes from the LSA. (114) . . so if that was less, there would be more "chop" to the idle. So the cam with a 112 LSA will have more of a "cammed" engine sound to it and make the power "down low" vs the 114 that makes power further up in the RPMs
