Default How will this effect my ETs

I now run either a 29" or 28" tall tire, depends on if it is my stock 16" rims or my 18" Center Lines. If I run a 25.5" tire will this hurt me? I will probably have to redo my shift points too, right?

I'm planing on mounting some Nitto 555R 245/50-16 on some spare tire rims. Your thoughts!

I asked about this a while back myself no one responded I just ordered 245/50/r16 nitto drag radials for my truck. Planning on putting them on this saturday. The only thing I am worried about is looks and how are they going to handle. I figure that I am going to pick up more gear and cut my 60 foot downs alot. Since my 60 foots sucked last time.
Im planning on going to the track april 2nd. Ill post my times and show how big a difference I get with them.

It will make a big difference, the drag radials will really hookup and you'll pull really hard in 2nd and especially 3rd.Going with small diameter drag radials is a really practical way to go because you don't permanently change your gears. You will need to reprogram your shift to keep from bumping the rev limiter it will pull that much harder.

I run 26" ET streets on mine at the track. I dont change the tunning either. By going to a smaller tire, you will more than exceed the mph in the shift tables so it will rely on rmp to shift at wot. I have had no problems with mine. Also I have driven them on the street and the new gearing makes it really fun to drive.

Just wanted to know if someone had a pic of there truck with 245/50/r16 tires. If so can you post them. Thanks.
1trueSS: Far as the widest I believe BFG drag radials make one in a 255/50/r16.
Not sure how much wider they are not very much probably. Plus I have read that the BFG's wear out very quickly.
